City Hall Salisbury
January - March Season 2012

We are delighted to present our new January - March Season 2012.

As the Diamond Jubilee and London Olympics year is drawing closer there is plenty to get excited about, so celebrate with us at City Hall as we have a plethora of fantastic quality live entertainment. Our eclectic programme offers something for everyone and as always, is right on your doorstep.

As the winter nights draw in, warm yourself up with laughter as Britain’s best-known Pub Philosopher, Al Murray, joins us with his side-splittingly funny ‘Barrels of Fun Extra’ tour. Party in style as That’ll Be The Day returns with their special Christmas show packed full of your favorite Christmas hits guaranteed to get you into the festive spirit. Then ring in the New Year with the beautiful New Year Viennese Spectacular, the London Gala Orchestra will stun you with their sumptuous, heart-rousing music as they will be performing classics including Blue Danube and the Radetzky March.

We then go full steam ahead into January as we welcome BBC Lifetime Achievement Award winners and folk music greats, Fairport Convention. Multi award winning stand up, television and movie star, Omid Djalili is here with his ‘Tour of Duty’ with a show that promises to be his best yet. As half term sets in, we have something for the children as The Little Big Club returns with all of their favorite characters including Thomas the Tank Engine, who makes an exciting debut with this show. The Blues Band, one of the finest purveyors of Rhythm and Blues around, will be performing all of their greatest and well-loved hits so expect a stunning, soulful and moving performance.

We are privileged to welcome absolute musical legend, Joan Baez, back to the City Hall after her sell out show in 2009. Spend an evening with her at City Hall on Friday 9 March, with what promises to be a completely spell binding performance. On their 25th Anniversary and farewell tour, The Hamsters take their final bow at City Hall so do not miss this momentous occasion. The sumptuous Moscow Ballet La Classique return with another spine-tingling production; they return with the classical ballet masterpiece, Swan Lake. Another musical legend, Jack Bruce, takes to the stage with his Big Blues Band to complete our fantastic line up for March.

With so much going on, City Hall is definitely the destination for quality live entertainment and is the place to be in 2012.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
